The Wentzville School District (WSD) opened its doors this week to 17,609 kindergarten through 12th grade students for the start of the 2025-26 school year. An additional 544 students are enrolled in the District’s early childhood programs.

“There’s a great energy across the District, and we’re looking forward to a successful year of learning and growth,” said Brian Bishop, superintendent.

This year marks the second year of the District’s strategic plan rollout, which emphasizes academic excellence, resources, and belonging to support student success. The District’s mission is to champion excellence in education, creating a student-centered community where all are empowered to thrive and grow.

A new communication tool is also joining the mix this year—the Stopfinder app, which helps families receive more accurate, real-time transportation updates. Despite initial hurdles with implementation, the District remains optimistic about the long-term advantages for families.

The WSD is home to one early childhood center, 12 elementary schools, four middle schools, and four high schools. We also have adaptive and alternative learning centers.
